Our school has three dedicated bus services providing travel to and from school on designated travel routes. The attached map shows the areas covered by the school bus service. The Ministry of Education deems eligible children as those who live between 3.2km and 4.8km from the school to their house. Ineligible children are still permitted to utilise the bus service but incur a charge of $25 per child per term. Please contact the office for further information or to enrol your child on this bus service.

Children may travel only on their designated bus. Non-bus children are not permitted to use the bus for after school activities. Please advise the school if your child will not be on the evening bus so their name can be marked off the roll.

Any children needing to travel to Papakura will need to catch one of the public transport buses. See their website for departure times, bus stops etc.

The Travel Consent Form (contained in each enrolment pack) must be signed and returned to enable your child to participate on school trips. In addition, a notice containing relevant information is sent home prior to any activity which involves leaving the school.

As part of our Travel Wise programme, two walking school buses operate very effectively. On Wednesdays at 8.10am in the morning WSB1 departs from the corner of Gatland Road and on Wednesday and Friday WSB2 departs from Fitzgerald/Waihoehoe Road. This is a tremendous way to start on these days - promoting health and safety, fitness, interaction and involvement! Parents welcome.

Drury School was recently awarded GOLD status "for completing a Safe School Travel Plan and working towards increasing safe, healthy, active and sustainable journeys to and from school. We were also the 2014 recipient of the "Contributionto Road Safety" award.
